Green initiatives

CHGP in the future

Recognized by FIA for environmental efforts

In 2022, Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix (CHGP) received the first star in the FIA's Environmental Accreditation Programme, which recognizes fundamental environmental practices.

In 2023, CHGP achieved the second of three possible stars, reflecting the organization's commitment to sustainability and reduced environmental impact.

Starting with CHGP 2025, all participating cars in the race will run on fossil-free fuel to significantly minimize our CO2 emissions. The goal is to set standards for sustainable events and inspire similar events to follow suit.

Since 2023, CHGP has measured the organization's carbon emissions, increased the use of carbon-neutral fuel, and implemented food waste strategies, including the distribution of surplus food.

In 2024, additional initiatives, such as on-site waste sorting, were introduced to promote sustainability, and this year we will build on these and introduce new measures to make CHGP 2025 even greener.

CHGP's Green City is an area dedicated to the exhibition and communication of future green mobility technologies. Previously, students from DTU, SDU and AAU have presented electric racing cars they have built themselves.

In the future, Green City will serve as a platform for technologies in green transportation, carbon capture and storage, biofuel production and other sustainable solutions.

Promote this brand

The Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix has seen a steady increase in visitor numbers year after year, and with 33,000 visitors in 2024, there is not only the right atmosphere, but also many opportunities for relevant companies to profile themselves.

Exhibitions

EXCITING PRODUCTS AND OFFERS

At Bellahøj Park you'll also find a large area with exciting stalls and exhibitions. Here you can explore the many products and offers within racing, merchandise, accessories, spare parts, tuning, oils, sports rims, tires and much more.

You can also experience a wide selection of today's car brands. Several of them have historical roots, and both car importers and car importers therefore use CHGP to exhibit their model range at Bellahøj Park.

Don't miss out on a stroll through the many small "alleys" with stalls, exhibitions and other temptations.

CHILDREN'S AREA

LET THE KIDS BURN OFF A LOT OF ENERGY

Kids eventually get tired of racing and fast cars whizzing by. That's why every year we set up a large children's area with a variety of fun activities for kids of all ages - bouncy castles, bike lanes, creative play, etc.

CAMPING AT BELLAHØJ

SWEET DREAMS IN THE MIDDLE OF MOTORSPORT DREAMLAND

At Bellahøj Park we have a large camping area for those who want to experience the entire CHGP up close - from early morning to late evening. If you buy a weekend ticket, you can also buy a pitch for your tent, caravan or camper.

Learn more about weekend camping options at Bellahøj Camping. Please note that a campsite booked through Bellahøj Camping still requires an access bracelet during the race weekend.

WELCOME RECEPTION

GRAND OPENING RECEPTION IN THE HEART OF COPENHAGEN

The City of Copenhagen welcomes CHGP 2023 with an opening reception at the City Hall on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 13:00. At the City Hall Square, all visitors can experience a beautiful exhibition of historic race cars and super sports cars from the CHGP event.

The cars will be at City Hall Square around 12:30.

The trip back to Bellahøj Park begins at around 14:00, when the press will have had the opportunity for interviews after the reception and there will have been plenty of time for everyone to admire the cars and perhaps have a chat with the drivers.

CAR CLUBS

GET UP CLOSE TO HISTORIC CARS AND THEIR PROUD OWNERS

At Bellahøj Park, we have set aside a large area for a wide range of the country's most interesting car clubs. Here you'll find ardent enthusiasts gathered around different car brands, themes, activities, etc.

Many of the cars are historical icons, and suddenly you may be standing in front of your childhood dream car. We often see older generations light up when they tell their children and grandchildren about their favorite cars from "when grandpa was young". There's also a good chance you'll have a chat with the proud owners, as most are happy to talk about their car and hobby.

CAR CLUBS

FEEL THE HEAT FROM THE RACE CARS AND THEIR DRIVERS

At most other motor races, the paddock is closed to the public. Not so at CHGP. Here you can get up close to both cars and drivers. This applies to both the large paddock at the entrance to Grøndal Multicenter and the smaller paddocks scattered around Bellahøj Park.

If you're frantically trying to get a car ready for the next race, you probably shouldn't ask too many questions. But otherwise, there's usually plenty of time for a good chat about the race cars and the classes they compete in.

FOOD COURT

TAKE A PIT STOP WHEN HUNGER STRIKES

Several large Food Courts are set up every year, where you'll find food for every taste. From a quick bite to eat to a delicious gourmet meal. Close to the food courts you can buy drinks, from beer and ciders to soft drinks and water.

Whether you like burgers, Thai, sandwiches, sausages, pancakes or something completely different, there is definitely something for you!
